A child was issued a ticket after a collision between an e-bike and an e-scooter in the downtown on Wednesday afternoon.
Video has been circulating on social media of a large group of what appear to be children and young people riding e-bikes and e-scooters in the Columbus Drive area.
RNC say there are no calls related to the incident on their call sheet, however, an officer on patrol happened to notice approximately 40 or more people on similar machines in the downtown area around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon.

RNC Constable Steph Myers says the officer eventually came across a collision involving two people, ages 11 and 12.
“The officer did stop and ensured their well-being…and they spoke with the youth, spoke with their parents, did issue a summary offence ticket to one of the operators.”
She says police are asking parents to speak with their kids about the safe use of e-bikes and e-scooters.
The provincial government has promised to introduce legislation related to the use of e-bikes and e-scooters in the fall sitting of the House of Assembly.
