The RNC has charged a man with drug possession after his arrest in a green space at Rawlins Cross.
It all stems from open drug use last Friday afternoon at the site of the old Flavin’s Lane Electric Plant.
The arrest comes as concerns and frustration mount about open drug use in the capital city.
St. John’s Mayor Danny Breen himself last month wrote the provincial and federal governments asking for help and support to respond to increased public safety concerns.
The 48-year-old, who was charged with possession of a controlled substance, was released to appear in court at a later date.
