The third annual Alex Newhook & Friends Golf Classic in St. John’s last month raised more than $160,000 for local charities.
For the last few years, Newhook has invited fellow hockey players to join him in a golf tournament to raise money for the community.
This year Newhook was joined by fellow Habs’ Arber and Florian Xhekaj, Jakub Dobeš, and Jayden Struble, along with sister Abby Newhook, former Canadien Chris Nilan, and Newfoundland NHLers Dawson Mercer and Ryan Greene.
The Montreal Canadiens announced the total via Facebook.
