Renowned Newfoundland and Labrador skater Kaetlyn Osmond says it is “mind-blowing” to think of the role model she has become for young people that are interested in the sport.

Osmond, who is a Skate Canada hall-of-famer and Olympic medalist, will be performing in the Stars on Ice Holiday Tour at the Mary Brown’s Centre in December.

She recalls being a child and going to see her sister perform in a show called Ice Galaxy, along with skating stars like Kurt Browning and Elvis Stojko. She says that “kickstarted” her interest in wanting to perform in shows.
