FORCE NL – a group made up of young entrepreneurs and professionals – is pleased to see the Churchill Falls MOU going ahead.

Ben Oates says while it “ain’t over” until the deal is finalized, he was interested to see how the debate in the House of Assembly played out this month.

He says the interesting part for him was that government “did not seem terribly interested in building cohesion around their own deal. They seemed to just want to play a game of ‘mine’s bigger than yours’ and right now it’s about building cohesion…not about comparisons to an MOU that no longer exists.”

Oates takes comfort in the fact that the deal is likely to go through in the Quebec legislature regardless of what happens in next month’s provincial election.
