A 34-year-old man has been charged for allegedly fleeing from police on an electric dirt bike while impaired.

RNC in Corner Brook were called about a disturbance at a business in the city last Thursday night.

Police say the suspect fled the scene on an e-bike. When officers tried to pull the machine over, it sped away.

RNC later located the driver on a dead-end street off Valley Road and the man was arrested after a brief struggle.

Michael Greene of Halfway Point is charged with impaired driving, refusal, flight from police, assaulting a police officer, uttering threats and resisting arrest.

He was held in custody pending a court appearance.
