Energy NL says it is “encouraging” to see Ithaca Energy enter the province’s oil and gas industry.
The U.K.-based company recently bought out Suncor’s stake in Terra Nova, White Rose, and West White Rose.
In a statement to VOCM News, the organization calls Ithaca one of the largest independent oil and gas operators in the North Sea, and states that they are coming in to this province with “tremendous experience.”
They believe the situation highlights “global interest” in the industry, and demonstrates the long-term value of the Terra Nova field.
