Metrobus has taken a multi-million dollar hit to its budget due to rising fuel prices.

General manager Judy Powell says the fuel market isn’t stable, noting that they are looking at their budget for the coming year.

Currently, Powell states Metrobus is nearly $1-per-litre over budget.

She says they burn about 2.2 million litres of fuel every year which, at current prices, puts them $2-million over budget.
