A pothole on the Burin Peninsula Highway is causing havoc for drivers who are calling for action to finally have it addressed.
Corey Brown told VOCM Open Line with Brian Callahan that he struck the unmarked road hazard on September 12.
He says it was dark and raining when he struck the pothole near Mile Hill, and busted his tire. He called his father for assistance, they repaired the tire and drove back to St. John’s a couple of days later.
But “still no signage,” at that time says Brown, who took pictures and submitted them to the Department of Transportation.
Brown says he was shocked to notice that the same pothole was still there when he and his family travelled to the Burin Peninsula for the Thanksgiving weekend.
They noticed a vehicle pulled over on the side of the road with two busted tires from the very same pothole.
