Memorial University is celebrating Canada’s National Garden Days with four days of special events at the Botanical Gardens on Mount Scio Road in St. John’s.
Events begin this evening with the “Booze and Botany” tasting event. You can take a stroll through the gardens with cocktails in the company of horticulturalist Todd Boland. This is the first of three events of its kind this summer.
Friday night will feature a musical event with entertainment provided throughout the garden by MUN music students.
And the final two events on Saturday and Sunday will be tailored to the kids. Events will include crafts, activities and a petal parade.
Kim Shipp, director of the garden says there will even be a few special guests on the weekend.
The garden has more than 200 varieties of Rhododendrons along with other botanical wonders.
