The Public Service Alliance of Canada is speaking out following word that the federal government has let an agreement offering incentives to workers dealing with the fallout from the Pheonix Pay System to expire.
Newfoundlander Colleen Coffey is the Atlantic Canadian representative for PSAC.
She says the Parliamentary Budget Office has told them that they’re stuck with the problem-riddled Phoenix pay system until 2023.
Coffey says allowing the incentive program for workers dealing with the problems created by Phoenix to expire, adds insult to injury. She says the incentive got people to stay, and government is not jumping at the bit to extend the program.
We're committed to restoring the recruitment and retention incentive package for pay advisors and will be pressing the government to resolve the situation in the coming days. https://t.co/jqkHxfhj6m #cdnpoli #canlab
