Repairs are now complete on a hole in the Trans Canada Highway at the Avondale access road, heading eastbound.
The Department of Transportation and Works says the hole has been fixed by a contractor with the assistance of the Department, but speed reductions are still in place.

The TCH was down to one lane since Sunday morning, causing extensive backlogs in traffic. Some motorists were stuck in the short stretch for well over an hour.
