The woman who was struck by a vehicle on Pitts Memorial last Friday morning is in stable condition.
People passing through the area saw the 46-year-old lying in the roadway eastbound lanes at about 9:00.
That set off a chain of events which ended with an SUV flipping through the air after coming up from behind and striking another vehicle in the westbound lanes. It also struck a police cruiser on the way down before coming to rest on its side.
A woman in the SUV was taken to hospital.
