On the day police officers searched Thomas O’Grady’s home as part of a child pornography investigation, police did not question the others living at the house about their computer usage. That was heard this morning at O’Grady’s ongoing trial in St. John’s Provincial Court.
Police showed up just after 9:30 a.m. on April 6, 2017, to conduct a search of the home in Kilbride where Thomas O’Grady was living.
He was staying in the basement with his girlfriend. The house was her parents’ home, and her son also lived there.
This morning at O’Grady’s trial, his girlfriend, her son and her parents all testified. All said they gave O’Grady and his girlfriend their space downstairs, all said they had their own computers and all said the couple used the desktop computer downstairs.
The Crown shows Breen photos from evidence. Breen identifies the downstairs bedroom used by Tom and his girlfriend. He identifies desktop used by O’Grady.
Breen says neither he, his wife, or grandson, used the computer downstairs, or O’Grady’s laptop. @VOCMNEWS

Police found hundreds of images of child pornography on that desktop and a laptop found downstairs.
When asked by the defence if police questioned them regarding their personal computer usage, all of today’s witnesses testified they were not asked.
The trial continues.
