Police are still considering whether to lay charges against a second person after a theft at the Irving in Glovertown ten days ago in which a 31-year-old woman was arrested.
The woman entered the store and stole cartons of cigarettes from the counter. She fled and got into the passenger side of a small blue car being driven by a man. The car was last seen heading west on the TCH towards Gander.
Police identified the woman using the store’s surveillance footage. Gander RCMP located the vehicle when they saw the woman throwing the cartons out of the car window.
The woman was arrested for theft under $5,000 and was released to appear in court at a later date with conditions to stay away from Glovertown Irving.
