Newfoundland and Labrador has gone 20 days with no new cases of COVID-19 identified in the province.
The Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Janice Fitzgerald says if the number of cases remains consistent and all continues to go well, Newfoundland and Labrador will move to Alert Level 2 on Thursday, June 25.
Dr. Fitzgerald says there have been challenges so far, and there will be more to come, but she encourages everyone to hold fast.
Only one active case remains in this province. The provincial total of identified cases remains at 261. To date, 15,143 people have been tested for the virus.
