A man from Plum Point will have to spend some time without his licence and vehicle after refusing to provide a breath sample to police.
Flower’s Cove RCMP pulled over the 64-year-old on Tuesday, at around 4 p.m. on suspicion that he was impaired by alcohol. The man, who police say is facing another set of impaired driving charges from an incident in 2018, refused to perform a roadside breath test.
Police took him into custody, issuing a driver’s licence suspension and ticket for expired registration. The vehicle was impounded.
He was later released with a date to appear in court to answer to the new charge.
