Businesses in the province’s tourism and hospitality industries can now apply for a new training program to enhance business cleaning standards in the workplace.
Hospitality NL launched the Clean It Right Training Program – a virtual classroom and self-study program – that helps to increase the safety of guests, visitors and employees in industries dealing with the impacts of COVID-19.
The goal of the program is to help those in the industry understand the importance of following cleaning procedures, adjust to current practices and give customers the knowledge that businesses provide a clean and safe environment.
A one hundred per cent pass rate is required to receive certification.
Businesses that train all of their staff will get a window decal to display in their business as well as recognition in the Newfoundland and Labrador Travel Guide.
For more information or to register your business for the training visit the Hospitality NL website.
