The President of the Avalon T’railway Association is reiterating ATV safety following multiple accidents in recent weeks.
Rick Noseworthy says they have noticed in many cases, riders have been wearing helmets and not doing them up, which he says is a major problem.
He says that another issue they are seeing in communities across the province is that people are not reporting irresponsible ATV driving to their local police.

Following a recent meeting with the RCMP and the Town of Holyrood, Noseworthy says it was gathered that people speeding through communities on the road is a huge issue among residents but police are not receiving any calls.
He says in small communities when there are ATVs creating problems, somebody knows who the drivers are.
Noseworthy says it needs to be a community approach and people need to help their local RCMP solve the problem.
