Clarenville RCMP have released images of a woman believed involved in a recent armed robbery at a Port Blandford gas bar.

RCMP say a woman, wearing a mask and blue cloth on her head, entered the Corner Stop gas station around 9:20 last Friday evening and waited for customers to leave.

She then removed a hammer from a bag she was carrying, walked behind the checkout and approached the clerk, demanding money.

Police say she left the scene in a white four-door Chevrolet Cruze with an undisclosed amount of cash.

RCMP believe there were other people in the vehicle, which was last seen heading west on the Trans-Canada Highway.
