A 42-year-old man, wanted for previous violent offenses, was arrested last night in St. John’s.
RNC say they first observed Michael Pippy driving a motorcycle on the Outer Ring Road around 6:00 p.m.
They attempted to pull the man over but he refused to stop.
Plainclothes officers in unmarked vehicles helped follow the man to O’Leary Industrial Park. He fled from police on foot but was arrested a short time later.
In addition to his previous arrest warrants, the man has also been charged with flight from police and breach of a court order.
As well he was ticketed for various other traffic infractions. The motorcycle was impounded.
