A Liberal cabinet minister is not going to be seeking re-election.
Carol Anne Haley, the MHA for Burin-Grand Bank, is currently the minister for the Status of Women.
She won two elections but announced today that she will not be a candidate in the next one.
Over the course of the pandemic, she spent more time with her family and began to realize just how consuming political life had become.
She will stay on as MHA until the election is called.
