The family of a Newfoundland man who was shot in Toronto are seeking answers about what happened as they mourn their loss.
Police in Toronto say 45-year-old John Wheeler was shot early in the morning on Wednesday, August 12, as he waited outside of his apartment building to go to work.
According to his niece, Arlene Stuckless, the detectives have not released any information on the situation yet.
She says it would have been easier to accept if he had words with someone, but video footage showed nothing had happened beforehand.
Stuckless says he always said he wanted to be laid to rest with his mother in Grand Falls-Windsor.
