Andrew Furey becomes Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador this morning but already his opponents in the House of Assembly are giving him a rough ride.
The outdoor swearing-in ceremony starts at 10:00 a.m. and then at 1:00 p.m. his Cabinet will be sworn in.
Premier Furey and his cabinet will then take questions from the media starting at 1:45 p.m.
Meanwhile, NDP Leader Alison Coffin says it’s clear that the new Premier has no plan to deal with the priorities of every-day people.
She says making 6,000 families find alternate ways for children to get to school is just the first sign of how people in this province will be affected by the decisions of the new Liberal Premier.
