PAL Airlines is expanding its service in Atlantic and Eastern Canada.
The St. John’s-based airline will be launching a new route between St. John’s and Moncton first, then on to Ottawa once the Bubble restrictions outside Atlantic Canada are reduced.
The new service will operate Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. The flight will leave St. John’s at 7:30 in the morning and arrive in Moncton at 9:30.
Janine Brown, the director of business development with PAL, says they have done the market research and are confident that the demand is there. Currently, the only Maritime connection out of St. John’s is Halifax.
They will be using a DASH-8 aircraft with a capacity of 50. They will also be offering cargo service.
