Police have prohibited a young driver from getting behind the wheel after he was caught pulling excessive speeds on the Trans-Canada Highway.
RNC were patrolling near Corner Brook on Tuesday night when their radar caught a driver going 170 km/h in a 100 zone.
Police charged the 18-year-old from Corner Brook for breaking the speed limit by more than 50 km/h, and suspended his licence for a week.
The vehicle he was driving was impounded.
