The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees is calling on all employers, including the provincial government, to follow the directions of the Chief Medical Officer and allow those workers who can work from home to do so.
Dr. Janice Fitzgerald has suggested that employees who can work from home should do so.
NAPE President Jerry Earle says they have been inundated with calls from concerned members who say they are being refused the ability to work from home – including those who did so during the first wave.
He says it’s time for government to practice what they preach.
We must work together to mitigate the potential spread of covid-19 in our workplaces & communities. Making arrangements for people to work from home, wherever possible, will go a long way to achieving that goal #nlpoli https://t.co/DAa44a2Mpp
