The Marine Institute is inviting residents of Holyrood and surrounding area to an information and public consultation session to learn more about a proposed Marine Autonomous Test Zone in Holyrood harbour.

The test zone will allow the Marine Institute to operate and test remote marine vehicles both on the surface, and underwater, and the zone is being designed with other users in mind.

The intent is that it will have a minimal, or no impact on commercial and recreational activities in the area.

The public information session is set for Thursday, May 23 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at The Launch in Holyrood.
