There’s sure to be plenty of smiles – and possibly a few tears – as the Children’s Wish Foundation makes good today on one child’s wish.
14-year-old Rebecca, who has been fighting Hodgkins Lymphoma, always wanted a Maltipoo puppy. Marley, a Maltese-Poodle cross, is three pounds of fluff and is arriving in St. John’s on a flight today.

Rebecca and her family will be waiting for the puppy to arrive just before 1:00 this afternoon.
The provincial director of the Children’s Wish Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador, Barry Folwer says there have only been four animal wishes granted in the province since their inception and Marley makes five.
VOCM News will be at St. John’s International when the puppy arrives.
