Calling all rugby fans! The Atlantic Rock are asking for your support as they look to become Under-19 Canadian Rugby champions on home soil.
The Atlantic Rock could become national champions for the first time in nine years at the 2019 U19 Canadian Rugby Championships being held at the Swilers Rugby Complex.
They are headed into the championship game on Saturday – a rematch against the Ontario Blues, who won the tournament last year.
The Rock have home pitch advantage, but team manager, Pat Parfrey says Ontario is a powerhouse and they need the crowd support.
He says in a physical game if the crowd gets behind you and cheers loud, it motivates the guys to play better, and they need all the motivation they can get to beat this Ontario team.
As for the fans, Parfrey has a pretty simple message.
He says to get out to the field and start roaring.
The championship games gets underway at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Swilers Rugby Complex on Crosbie Road.
