Summer has been slow coming to many in the province so far this season, but National Warning Preparedness meteorologist, Jennifer Smith says the models are showing that won’t be the case for long.
She says their data shows warm temperatures and less rain in the months ahead.
“For Newfoundland and Labrador we’re looking at a high probability of above-normal average (in temperatures) for the summer season, and unfortunately for Newfoundland, there really isn’t a strong signal for precipitation.”
