It was a lively night at the LSPU Hall as MusicNL ended their three day celebration of music in province with the MusicNL 2019 Awards.
MusicNL interim Board Chair Amy House says it feels great that they were able to pull together a few days of celebration.
Especially after the organization faced financial uncertainty in 2019, she says she didn’t want the artists who worked hard over the past year to miss out on the awards.
House says the board was excited to introduce a new category this year, the First Light Indigenous Artist of the Year Award. Local group, Eastern Owl took home the award.
