Campsites at some of the province’s most popular parks were grabbed up in short order when online reservations opened up earlier this week.
The minister responsible for the parks, Bernie Davis, says hundreds were waiting when the reservation system opened up at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
He says 750 people were in the system when it opened, while Butter Pot and Lamanche sold out within the first two minutes.
Overnight camping is now allowed under Alert Level Three, with certain restrictions in place.
