Sport NL has made revisions to the Alert Level Two Sport Guidance Documents to reflect concerns from the sports community.
CBS Minor Baseball volunteer, Todd Powell had planned a peaceful protest at Confederation Building for Monday because he could not understand the logic behind the guidance for minor league sporting organizations.
He says that was cancelled when Sport NL changed their guidelines Friday night.
The provincial government says as long as the 50 person maximum gathering rule is followed, single games and matches between sports teams are allowed.
A minimum of a 30-minute break is required between games for cleaning.
However, tournaments, Provincial Championships and back-to-back games cannot take place with the gathering restrictions in place.
Game organizers must keep records of all players, coaches, trainers, officials and others related to the game for two weeks to aid in contact tracing when needed.
Sport NL says they want to gradually work towards the safest return to sport for everyone.
A complete list of guidelines can be found on the provincial government’s website.
