The Department of Justice has named Derek Peddle as the new Acting High Sheriff for Newfoundland and Labrador.
Peddle takes over from Dan Chafe who was recently appointed as Superintendent of Prisons.
Peddle has been with the Sheriff’s Office since 1993 and has served in supervisory and managerial roles since 2006.
