The Conservation Corps Newfoundland and Labrador is working to restore heritage sites throughout the province this year.
Their Cape Broyle Green Team is currently working to restore the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
Communications and education outreach coordinator, Natalie Dignam, says this is one of many projects they’ll be conducting over the summer.
She says the Cape Broyle team is in the cemetery cutting, planting and restoring the graveyard but also doing research on the site.
Dignam says the Green Team program hires youth 16-30 to work on cultural and environmental conservation projects; this year there are 20 teams completing projects all across the province.
