The official Opposition is raising questions about the rationale behind public health restrictions limiting weddings to fewer than 50 people.
Leader Ches Crosbie says that’s while bars and restaurants are allowed to be open to 50 per cent of capacity, which may mean more than 50 people.
Nova Scotia, which is part of the Atlantic Bubble, is allowed to have a maximum of 200 people at indoor weddings and Crosbie says their office has received calls and emails from frustrated couples and businesses.
He calls the public health limitation an inconsistency that is not fair to couples and the businesses that provide services to the wedding sector.
