Principals, teachers and staff usually report for school a day ahead of students, but that won’t be the case this year.

K-12 students don’t return until Wednesday, September 9 but all others in the school system will report on Wednesday, September 2.

Government says the earlier reopening will provide teachers, students and staff additional time to receive orientation on health and safety-related procedures and protocols.

Professional learning will also be provided for teachers, including for those involved in the implementation of phase three of the Education Action Plan.
