Police are warning the public of a presence of fentanyl in the community involving an investigation in St. John’s.
On Sunday, July 12, the RNC observed what appeared to be illicit drug substances inside a home on Campbell Avenue.
Following lab testing, police confirmed that fentanyl and other substances used in the manufacturing of illicit drugs were present. This indicated a likelihood of cross contamination within illicit drug production.
The RNC warns of the life threatening consequences of ingesting fentanyl. A small amount of the opioid substance could be fatal.
