Damage from the weekend’s heavy rain has forced the closure of a portion of the T’Railway Provincial Park in the area of Goobies.
The linear park is closed near Seaward’s Trestle, about 385 metres east of the town.
Users are being asked to avoid the eastern side of the trestle towards and including the underpass at the Burin Peninsula Highway, as well as the area of Placentia Junction and Big Gull Pond.
Complete washouts and significant trail damage can be found in those areas.
