A 24-year-old man from Davidsville, Gander Bay has been charged for not having appropriate life jackets on his jet ski after a man died in Gander Bay back in June.
Kyle Mullett was operating the machine when something happened, and he and his passenger ended up in the water on Saturday, June 6. The body of the 24-year-old passenger was recovered two days later.
Mullett was charged earlier this month for not having a personal flotation device or a life jacket of appropriate size for himself or his passenger. He was also charged with not having his jet ski licensed and for not having a required buoyant heaving line on board.
Mullett is scheduled to appear in court on December 1.
