Not so fast says Gerry Byrne – while it may sound like a good idea, it could also create added problems for the local workforce, which is sought after right across the country.
He says a so-called “shotgun clause” could create similar agreements in other provinces like Alberta where Newfoundlanders and Labradorians have long benefited from work opportunities.
