The St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival is once again partnering with Quidi Vidi Brewery and Eastern Edge Gallery with a limited-run festival beer.
The festival has grown over the last 31 years, featuring films produced, directed or written by women.
The festival received an “overwhelming response” to a call for artwork to be featured on DIRECTOR’S CUT beer cans.
Over 125 women artists answered the call, submitting their work. That’s nearly double the number of submissions received the previous year.
DIRECTOR’S CUT, a raspberry blackberry creamsicle sour, will be available in NLC stores across the province starting October 7th.
The festival runs, in an online digital format, from October 14 to the 18.
(1/2) We’re so excited to announce the launch date of DIRECTOR’S CUT for the second year in a row!
Thank you to all of the amazing artists who submitted, to @QuidiVidiBeer for the amazing (tasty!) beer and @easternedge for helping curate and jury these pieces. pic.twitter.com/7s7Kng5xpg
