“We demand justice”
That’s the message from sexual assault survivor Shawna Lynn Williams who is organizing a rally at Confederation Building tomorrow in relation to the recent mistrial declared in the case involving RNC Constable Doug Snelgrove.
Advocates are upset, as the alleged victim in the case must endure a third trial and will have a dampening effect on other survivors coming forward.
Williams indicates there is real frustration with the criminal justice system; survivors feel they’re not getting the justice they deserve.
The rally is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Confederation Building.
