The RNC continues investigating a vehicle theft and assault two weeks ago in St. John’s.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. on September 22. Police responded to a vehicle theft report in the area of Colonial Street. It appears that the owner had attempted to recover the vehicle while it was being operated by the suspect, and was dragged a short distance before falling. The owner did not sustain serious injury.
The stolen vehicle, a white Ford F250, was recovered a short time later in the area of Henry Street where it was abandoned by the suspect.
The suspect is still being sought. He is about, 5’7″, with a slim build, dark hair, scruffy face, and a red star tattoo with a black outline on his hand. At the time of the crime, the suspect was wearing a red bandana and a beanie.
