Police have arrested a man in Whitbourne who had been on the run from the law since the middle of September.
45-year-old Jason Hepditch was first reported at large by police on September 14 for an alleged assault in Southern Harbour.
Yesterday morning at 11:00, RCMP noticed Hepditch walking along the TCH near Whitbourne.
When police approached him, Hepditch fled on foot into a wooded area but was arrested without further incident a short time later.
He is being held in custody and will appear in court at a later date to answer to several outstanding charges, which now include flight from police.
