The first significant snowfall of the year is on its way for parts of Labrador. Environment Canada has issued special weather statements for some areas, including Churchill Falls.
Snow begins tomorrow morning and may continue right into Friday. About 15 cm is expected in the Churchill Falls area, a little less in Labrador West and central Labrador.
Rain and wind is the story on the island portion of the province with the west and southwest coasts first to feel the effects.
The rain spreads to central and south in the early evening and metro late tonight. Amounts range from 30 mm to 50 mm with winds generally in the 70-80 range for most areas.
