Over $205,000 was raised last month during the Red Shoe Crew Walk for Families for Ronald McDonald House Newfoundland and Labrador.
This year’s theme was “Your Walk – Your Way,” and even in the middle of a pandemic, people of this province showed up to support local families when they need it most. The walk is the organization’s biggest fundraiser and helps raise awareness and funds to provide programs and services for sick children and their families.
DeeDee Voisey and her family are from Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Her daughter Grace has spent the last few months at Ronald McDonald House while she undergoes chemotherapy for leukemia.
DeeDee says while they will be happy to finally get back to the Big Land, they will miss the staff and the other families at their home away from home.
Stingray Radio and VOCM are a Red Shoe Media Sponsor for the walk.
