Police in Cartwright are crediting a tip from the public in helping to locate an impaired driver who was over three times the legal limit.

RCMP received the report shortly after midnight yesterday.

The woman has been charged with impaired. As well, she was ticketed for having open alcohol in a vehicle and driving while suspended.

She was released to appear in court at a later date.
