A well-known community leader is giving serious consideration to a run for federal politics.
Joanne Thompson, the executive director of the Gathering Place, is indicating that she’s been approached numerous times over the years to run politically. She’s now giving serious consideration to running for the Liberal nomination in the federal riding of St. John’s East.
